What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anticipated Part Time ETC position at Pine Grove Elementary?
The Triton Regional School District is searching for a dynamic Special Education Evaluation Team Chair to lead our IEP meeting process. This position will support students and families in grades PK-6.
The Evaluation Team Chair will:
Facilitate initial evaluation meetings, re-evaluation meetings and annual IEP meetings
Schedule all team meetings with required personnel and parents/guardians.
Complete all required state mandated paperwork within the appropriate timelines
Work collaboratively with Triton educators, parents, and students to facilitate productive meetings which promote student success.
Work in conjunction with special education staff and school administration to ensure that IEPs accurately reflect a child’s ability, strengths, needs, supports, and services.
Providing guidance to special education staff regarding a variety of issues related to writing IEP`s, communicating with parents and problem solving as needed
Requirements:
Certification as a Special Education Teacher
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Solid organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to facilitate a structured and organized Team meeting
Ability to establish a positive relationship with parents/guardians and staff members
Ability to provide guidance to Special Educators regarding a variety of issues related to writing IEPs, communicating with parents and problem solving as needed
In depth knowledge of special education policies and procedures
