The Triton Regional School District is searching for a dynamic Special Education Evaluation Team Chair to lead our IEP meeting process. This position will support students and families in grades PK-6. The Evaluation Team Chair will: Facilitate initial evaluation meetings, re-evaluation meetings and annual IEP meetings Schedule all team meetings with required personnel and parents/guardians. Complete all required state mandated paperwork within the appropriate timelinesWork collaboratively with Triton educators, parents, and students to facilitate productive meetings which promote student success.Work in conjunction with special education staff and school administration to ensure that IEPs accurately reflect a childs ability, strengths, needs, supports, and services.Providing guidance to special education staff regarding a variety of issues related to writing IEP's, communicating with parents and problem solving as neededRequirements: Certification as a Special Education TeacherExcellent oral and written communication skillsSolid organizational and multitasking skillsAbility to facilitate a structured and organized Team meeting Ability to establish a positive relationship with parents/guardians and staff membersAbility to provide guidance to Special Educators regarding a variety of issues related to writing IEPs, communicating with parents and problem solving as neededIn depth knowledge of special education policies and procedures
