Job Overview:
Pine Grove School is seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our team of Montessori educators. Our Maple, Spruce, and Birch classrooms support students ages 3-6, and our Seedlings classroom supports students 18 months through age 3.
Duties:
- Supervise and engage with children in various educational and play activities
- Support classroom management and ensure a safe learning environment
-Light cleaning and office tasks when not needed in a classroom
-Supervise lunch and rest time
- Help with behavior management and provide positive reinforcement
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a stimulating learning experience
Skills:
- Experience working with toddler, preschool, and/or kindergarten aged children
-Knowledge of Montessori principles preferred or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young learners
- Ability to be flexible, maintain a positive attitude, and work in cooperation with staff, students, and families
