Fire Alarm/Security System Technician
Pine State Fire & Security is a growing locally-owned and operated fire alarm and security solutions provider. We are seeking a skilled and motivated alarm technician to join our team and contribute to our mission of protecting lives and property.
Responsibilities:
As a technician at Pine State Fire & Security, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, installing, and servicing fire alarm, surveillance and security systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to effectively carry out installation and maintenance tasks.
- Conducting system programming, testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing equipment issues.
- Coordinating with team members, contractors, and customers to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and adherence to industry codes and standards.
- Providing exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and educating clients on system operations.
- Maintaining a prompt and professional appearance that reflects Pine State's commitment to excellence.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Experience in fire alarm systems, security systems, or access control systems installation and maintenance. We will help train knowledge gaps in certain types of systems, all applicants encouraged to apply.
- Working knowledge of NFPA codes, National Electrical Code, or industry standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- NICET/IPSI Fire Alarm certification or State of Maine electrical licensure

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
