QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma Demonstrated competency with computers and computer programs and general office procedures, good communication skills a requirement. Strong organizational skills a must. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: To organize and work to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with a productive and smoothly run office.
2. Maintains such student records as required.
3. Register students for inclusion in the state student information system
4. Maintain accurate reporting for student attendance
5. Establish and maintain accurate class and section identification for enrolled students
6. Finalize and submit student grades from teacher grade books for permanent records and report cards
7. Provide accurate student and school data for state and federal reports
8. Receives and routes all incoming calls.
9. Maintains a daily teacher attendance log and the records for substitute teachers.
10. Assists teachers in preparing special instructional materials as requested.
11. Maintains a log of visitors to the school.
12. Classifies, sorts, and files correspondence or other data.
13. Composes and prepares correspondence.
14. Maintains school system telephone directory.
15. Maintains all school files.
16. Maintains logs and registers.
17. Maintains office mailing lists, as of community resource persons, supplies.
18. Maintains records required by policy, regulations, law, or good practice.
19. Responds to request for information.
20. Sorts, distributes, or delivers mail and other documents.
21. Acts as a receptionist to incoming public.
22. Works with others consistently in a cooperative and respectful manner.
23. Performs all other duties and responsibilities designated by the Principal.
TERMS: Days; Salary to be established by the Board
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in compliance with the Board’s policy on evaluation and professional personnel.
