Position Summary
The Unit Secretary is responsible for patient related clerical activities, unit clerical duties, computerized order entry procedures, and other unit activities, as applicable. The Unit Secretary must be able to provide and understand the specific communication needs of patients, families, and visitors ranging in age from early adult to late adult.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required—those employed prior to 10/01/2017 are “grandfathered” in without a GED or high school diploma.

- Completion of a Unit Secretary course with certificate

- At least 3 years on the job training in a healthcare facility preferred.
