What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reengagement Specialist position at Pinebrook Family Answers?
Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, the Reengagement Specialist works closely with identified school personnel and provides in-school and in-home case management services. The incumbent identifies and documents clients’ strengths, needs, and barriers. Providing case management, psychoeducational parenting skills, and support as indicated. Arranges referrals to community services/resources as needed.

WHAT You’ll Do as an Engagement Specialist:
- Work closely and partner with school staff in Freedom High School, located in the Bethlehem Area School District.
- Participates regularly in school meetings held relating to the scope of their work.
- Meet with the students and family to complete assessments. Identify and address barriers as they relate to decreased school engagement, attendance, and behavioral challenges.
- Develop a re-engagement plan with the student and family to improve problem solving to address barriers identified previously.
- Engage with families in the overall planning processes for the student.
- Advocate for the student and family to establish communication with school personnel and assure adequate access to community services/supports.
- Works cooperatively with staff of the referring schools and Office of Children and Youth Services (OCYS) and participates in educational planning to meet the needs of each student.
- Maintains all agency records for students in accordance and compliance with agency standards, keeping them current and up-to-date, with timely recording of all contacts pertaining to the student.
- Administers outcomes tools according to program protocols and submits to outcomes administrator within required timeframes.
- Meet regularly and maintain communication with program supervisor to keep her informed of program activities/developments and brings information/situations of concern to the attention of the supervisor immediately.

1. Minimum Requirements:
- Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in human services.
- Experience: Demonstrated ability to engage with children and families. Provide family support services.
- Knowledge: Family dynamics, child development, behavioral support, community-based case management.
- Skills: Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Driver’s License and Vehicle: Excellent driving record, Reliable car with proper liability insurance.
- 2-3 years of experience working with individuals receiving case management or behavioral health support.
