Pinellas Care Systems, Inc. offers individualized services to our clients through our community and home based programs.
HIRING PERSONAL SUPPORT CAREGIVERS needed for the Seminole/PINELLAS COUNTY AREA. TEACHER/CNA/HOME AIDE/AUTISM EXPERIENCE A PLUS. This specific position is 7 (or 7:30) to 3 (or 3:30) Monday thru Friday The staff would work along side his mother and occassionally father. The day would consist mostly of assisting with following his hygiene routine, assisting with laundry, prociding educational interactiona and supporting the family.
Must be able to pass a Level 2 background screening
We have Contracted Full-Time opening for qualified Caregivers, working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Must have reliable transportation. Must be accountable to our client's service schedules. Please DO NOT APPLY or Interview if you would ever do a NO CALL/ NO SHOW with a client.
- Ability to communicate both verbal and written.
- Capable of working responsibly with confidential information.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license and proof of car insurance.
- Must obtain and pass level 2 background screening prior to employment (AHCA).
- Minimum Age - 18 years old.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma.
- One-year experience preferred (On job training available).
- Some Computer knowledge (we are willing to teach, if needed)
- Free training available. APD courses are a prerequisite to work with our clients.
Responsibilities
- Help clients take prescribed medication ( med validation required if needed).
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Help clients with physical therapy exercises
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
- Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Skills
- Proven experience as a caregiver
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR and First Aid required within 90 days of hire date)
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass Level 2 background screening
The following are all requirements. They are free and available online prior to starting with clients. Credentials include: Certificates of Completion for APD approved Zero Tolerance, Direct Care Competencies, FDOH HIV/AIDS, HIPAA.
AHCA backgrounds approved screening along with a clear Local Law Check,
