As a key member of our project delivery team, you will work closely with the Superintendent and Project Executive to successfully complete projects.
The Role
As the Project Manager, you are part of a 3-person project delivery team responsible for coordinating the efforts of the Project Team, including the Design team (architect & Designer), Pinemar, and Trade Partners. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the project meets its schedule and financial goals through effective management of the budget, scope, and trade partner contracts.
You will be responsible for:
- Acting as Project Lead
- Main point of contact for Pinemar Project Team with architect/designer and client, and primary responsibility for managing client and design team relationships and expectations
- Responsible for achieving budget and schedule targets for each project they lead
- Maintaining timely and effective communication with clients, design team, Pinemar team, trade partners, material suppliers, and consultants
Your Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate information flow between Owner, Design Team, subcontractors, material suppliers, consultants, and Pinemar Team, including:
- Ordering materials, including identification and ordering of long lead time items
- Review and approve Shop Drawings for doors, windows, cabinets, hardware, tile, ornamental iron, and other building materials as needed
- Manage and track Submittals
- Manage scoping and budgeting of change orders
- Review/approve subcontractor invoices
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering
- At least 10 years of custom residential project management or commercial project management experience
- A deep understanding and expertise in the methods, materials, and processes specific to high-end residential construction, and construction sequencing for complex residential renovations and new builds
- Incredibly strong organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, and manage time effectively
- Microsoft Office 365
- Impressive critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently, without close supervision
