Role / Position

This is a full-time position for an Associate Litigation Attorney at Pines Federal, with opportunities for on-site work in our Houston, Texas office or remote work if you possess significant experience in federal employment law. As an Associate Litigation Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in representing federal employees in various legal matters, including EEO and OPM Disability cases, MSPB appeals, SSDI applications and appeals, and other labor and employment issues specific to the federal sector.

The role requires providing high-quality legal advice, conducting thorough legal research, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in administrative hearings or litigation. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique situations, needs, and goals to ensure they receive compassionate and effective advocacy.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Law and Labor and Employment Law or SSDI (Preferred but not Required)
  • Experience in providing legal advice and conducting legal research
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Litigation experience
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Experience in federal employee law is a plus
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar of any state in the United States since the position is federal civilian law.
  • Pay is commensurate with experience
