Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional care to boarding and hospitalized animals, including feeding, exercising, and monitoring their health.
- Administer medications, flea and tick control, and other treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, feeding schedules, and medication administration.
- Report any concerns or issues related to animal health or behavior to veterinarians and technicians.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of animal areas, including cages, runs, and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on their pets' status and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure seamless care and support for animals requiring special attention.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in animal science or a related field preferred.
- Must be at least 16 years old and have a strong desire to work with animals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods, as well as work in a variety of settings (e.g., indoors, outdoors).
