As a Benefits and Payroll Administrator at Pinion, you will play a crucial role in assisting employees with benefits enrollment and managing life events. Your primary responsibilities will include being the expert in Pinion’s benefits, ensuring compliance with federal and state benefits regulations, meticulous management of employee and benefits-related data in benefit vendor sites and payroll systems, bill reconciliation, and acting as a reliable backup for payroll processing. This role requires a blend of empathy, initiative, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the benefits enrollment process for new hires and at open enrollment, including health, dental, vision, 401(k) and other voluntary benefits and assist employees through various life events.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state benefits regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee and benefits-related data in benefit vendor sites and payroll systems and oversee preparation of annual employee census for quotes from insurers and benefits providers.
- Conduct thorough bill reconciliation for all benefits-related expenses.
- Completion of unemployment and state disability claim forms.
- Serve as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring continuity and precision in payroll operations.
- Address and resolve employee inquiries regarding benefits and payroll timely, with a high level of empathy and professionalism.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams at Pinion to ensure seamless integration of compensation adjustments and manage large-scale enrollments or new hire groups.
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll, with a strong preference for candidates who also have experience in benefits administration.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, capable of interacting effectively with all levels of the organization.
- A meticulous approach to work, with a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proactive and self-directed work ethic, capable of working effectively without constant supervision.
- Experienced in using ADP for payroll processing.
- Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to manage and analyze data effectively.
