The Pinion Technology Core (PTC) team is growing! We are seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist. PTC provides tailored IT services and network support for clients. The Technical Support Specialist will provide user support both on-site and remotely ensuring a high-level of service.
This position must be located in the Helena, MT area.

In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $19 - 25/hour.

What you’ll be doing:
- Provide user support to all customers on applications and systems within Pinion Technology Core
- Troubleshoot and test computer issues and assist in the support of LAN/WAN systems
- Monitor and respond to Help Desk tickets with top-notch customer service
- Train clients on the proper use of systems and software
- Perform component-level repairs, replacement of factory parts, and calibration to restore and maintain printer functionality
- Basic knowledge or experience in IT help desk / technical support
- Aptitude for learning a broad range of multi-user computer systems, applications, virtual systems and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills, identifying trends and root issues
- Basic knowledge of how to navigate end-user IT security issues
- The curiosity to go beyond the textbook, ask hard questions, and use technical skills to provide solutions to client problems
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and produce accurate, dependable work
- Excellent communication skill both verbally and in writing to convey technical information to non-technical personnel
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients and vendors
- Enthusiasm and excitement about technology and the opportunity to learn and grow
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Valid driver's license and the ability to be on-site with customers up to 80% of the time
