Job Overview
Pink Shell Resort is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Busser/Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of service. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the food industry and enjoy working in a collaborative setting.
Duties
- Greets guest in a welcoming manner
- Performs any other duties as assigned
- Escorts customers to their seats; provides highchairs, booster seats, etc.
- Serves water, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages when requested
- Ensures all tables are free and clear of unwanted dishes and residue
- Ensures tables are set up before the opening of restaurant
- Assists in Room Service as business needs indicate
- Maintains and stocks service stations with proper supplies before and after each shift
- Delivers soiled linens to the Housekeeping department
- Assists servers in delivery of orders
- Assists in the general cleaning and maintenance of the restaurant
- Ensures floor surface is free of debris at all time
- Completes set up and breakdown for buffet and Sunday Brunch
- Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules
Experience
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including bussing, kitchen procedures, and customer service principles.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in catering or event services is a plus but not mandatory.
