Job Title: Aerospace Quality Control Specialist
Company Overview:
We are an aerospace engineering and manufacturing company specializing in safety-critical engine and structural components for military and commercial aircraft. Operating under NAICS 336412, we are a government-approved supplier for legacy turbine engine parts and adhere strictly to industry quality standards including AS9100 and ISO 9001.
Position Summary:
The Aerospace Quality Control / Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product integrity, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance across all stages of the manufacturing and sourcing process. The role is critical in maintaining our reputation for delivering flight-critical components that meet or exceed all applicable technical and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality inspections, First Article Inspections (FAI), and in-process audits
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (including MIL-SPEC and technical data packages)
- Develop and maintain quality procedures in compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 standards
- Coordinate nonconformance reporting (NCR), root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support the Source Approval Request (SAR) process and interface with DLA/DoD for compliance documentation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching and submitting SARs for additional NSNs/parts
- Collaborate with co-manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure conformance to specifications
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and calibration logs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related experience)
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and DFARS/NIST 800-171 compliance
- Experience with aerospace machining, quality audits, and government contracting preferred
- Proficient in GD&T, CMM inspection, and working with technical drawings
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Location:
Flexible (Remote coordination possible); preferred proximity to Northeast U.S.

Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour
