What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Use/Zoning Specialist-Telecom position at Pinnacle Consulting, Inc.?
We are immediately hiring an experienced Land Use Planner / Zoning Specialist for future work in the Southwest market. The Land Use Planner / Zoning Specialist will perform daily Zoning duties, related to zoning with local jurisdictions, in accordance with Company objectives.
What Will You Do:
- Prepare, submit and present land use and zoning applications for wireless telecommunication sites
- Demonstrated understanding of land use principles, zoning experience in the wireless telecom industry preferred
- Access to personal, reliable vehicle and ability to physically operate vehicle safely; valid driver’s license, personal insurance coverage and acceptable driving record is required
- Knowledge and understanding about basic RF design, construction, and local land use zoning codes.
- Experience in filing zoning applications and making presentations at zoning hearings.
- Experience reading, interpreting zoning codes and regulations.
- Experience conducting neighborhood meetings as required for local zoning regulations and in support of Site Acquisition.

What You Will Need:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
- 0-2 years’ experience working in Land Use Planning
- Demonstrated understanding of cell site zoning principles; zoning experience in the wireless telecom industry preferred.
- Prior experience in wireless site deployment
- Adept at interpretating zoning codes and communications with jurisdictional personnel
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage own workload and deliverables with minimal supervision under strict timelines
- Ability to work irregular hours, including occasional evening and weekend work, when necessary
