What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pinnacle Counseling Intern position at Pinnacle Counseling?
Pinnacle Counseling is thrilled to be announcing the launch of their new Internship program for therapists in training and post-doctoral candidates. As all of us once were therapist-in-training at
some point in our mental health journeys, we are very excited to be offering this opportunity to others. We, at Pinnacle, value the educational process of a therapist and will be providing clinical
experience, individual and group supervision, and educational opportunities to all interns. In our work with individuals, couples, and families, we specialize in strengthening relationships and maintain an active and solution-focused approach with all of our clients. All interns receive comprehensive supervision and training and are provided with referrals and resources to build their caseloads quickly and effectively. Interns would be expected to carry a caseload of 10-12 weekly clients, but extenuating circumstances may be considered. Office locations include the Loop and Andersonville neighborhoods of Chicago, but interns could also work virtually or on a hybrid schedule if desired.
Pinnacle Counseling is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We value difference and strive to reflect the neighborhood populations that we serve. We invite interested applicants to read our practice values and therapeutic approach before applying.
Intern Requirements:
1.) Open to LCSW/LCPC/LMFT programs, MFT degree program preferred, or an interest in getting specialized training in couples work.
2.) Candidates with experience and/or strong interest in working with diverse populations preferred.
3.) Must be available to see clients either on evenings and/or weekends, and be available to see clients virtually with adequate internet connection and space to do so.
