Job Summary:
An IT Assistant is essential in supporting the IT department by carrying out various administrative and clerical tasks to facilitate efficient operations. This position is currently available as an Internship, with the potential for advancement into a part-time or full-time employment opportunity.
Essential Functions:
- Data entry: Inputting, updating, and maintaining data in various computer systems and IT databases
- Drafting, editing, and distributing IT-related correspondence, such as emails, letters, and reports
- Maintaining digital filing systems for efficient recordkeeping and easy retrieval
- Supporting IT staff with general administrative tasks
- Assisting with special projects, such as research and data analysis
- Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed expectations
- Recommended procedure modifications or improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Required Skills & Knowledge:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed herein are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Proficiency in English
- Strong communication, customer service and organizational skills
- Strong problem resolution and decision-making skills
- 1-2 years practical, real world Personal Computer hardware and software experience, including experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365 & MacOS and applications
- A good listener with a proven ability to build relationships with all levels of staff
- Strong time management skills, attention to detail and outstanding follow-up skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
- Must be proficient with Windows OS, Mac OS, various internet browsers (IE, Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox) and mobile devices (Apple and Android)
- Must have proficiency using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Must have the ability to research and take on projects as assigned
- Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work with minimal supervisor
