About the Role
The Patient Navigator position is an exciting opportunity for compassionate, service-minded individuals who want to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. In this role, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through their fertility journey and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional care and support.
We are seeking a Patient Navigator to join our dedicated team at Seattle Reproductive Medicine in Seattle, Kirkland, Everett, Bellevue or Tacoma. This is a full-time onsite position working Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with 3-4 weekends per year and one holiday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support IVF team members with all aspects of patient treatment coordination, including communication, education, scheduling, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Assist and interact with patients in person, by phone, and via portal messaging, email, and two-way texting.
- Educate patients on the IVF process, including infertility testing, insemination, in vitro fertilization (IVF), frozen embryo transfer (FET), egg vitrification, medications, potential side effects, and lifestyle factors affecting treatment success.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a high-quality patient experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the nAble EMR system, documenting medication administration, test results, progress notes, and physician orders.
- Provide empathy and support to patients, fostering a compassionate care environment.
- Guide patients on self-administering medications and monitoring treatment progress.
- Coordinate and schedule surgical and ART procedures, diagnostic tests, and appointments, ensuring all consents are signed and treatment timelines are followed.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and the medical team, relaying vital information, test results, and treatment instructions while addressing any questions or concerns.
- Advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and preferences are considered throughout the treatment process.
- Assist with additional administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
- Availability to work occasional weekends and holidays as required.
Position Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, social work, or a related field preferred; Certified Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in customer service, patient navigation, case management, or a related healthcare role.
- IVF/fertility experience and background in women's health a plus
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, insurance processes, and patient advocacy.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time and people management skills with the ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize work.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare software.
- Empathy and a patient-focused approach, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (final offers based on experience, skills, and qualifications).
