Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of supplies.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of special events and activities within the facility.
- Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance to identify areas for improvement and contribute to ongoing maintenance projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, conducting regular safety checks and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs outside of regular working hours.
- Foster a positive and respectful relationship with residents, encouraging feedback and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance practices, tools, and safety procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environments.
