Client:
Our client invests in a range of complex secondary transactions on a global basis and has closed 5 funds with AUM in excess of $15b. They are currently seeking an Associate for their New York City office. This position is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing firm with a history of success.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting in-depth research and analysis on potential investments
- Working on small deal teams to complete due diligence efforts, including significant interaction with private equity fund managers and company management teams
- Deal structuring, valuations, financial modelling, deal execution
- Preparation of advanced models in Excel
- Drafting detailed investment memoranda and presentations
- Assisting in the management and monitoring of portfolio companies
- Maintaining firm deal pipeline databases and ensuring that all relevant data is accurate
- Coordinating complex, time sensitive processes
Qualifications:
- Two to four years of relevant experience (investment banking, private equity, and/or secondaries firm)
- Degree in economics, finance or mathematics is preferred
- Top-tier undergraduate school, with strong academic performance
- Expert modelling skills commensurate with sophisticated financial investing
- Demonstrated understanding of investment processes and economics
