Job Overview
We are looking for a customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our remote team. This role is primarily work-from-home, but you will be required to visit client sites from time to time to perform onsite support tasks. The ideal candidate will be proficient in IT troubleshooting, have strong communication skills, and be comfortable driving their own vehicle for onsite support when needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote IT support to clients, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist customers via phone, email, and remote access tools.
- Occasionally travel onsite to client locations to perform hardware installations, network troubleshooting, and other hands-on support tasks.
- Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in our ticketing system.
- Collaborate with our remote team to solve complex IT problems.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing clear and effective communication.
Requirements
- CompTIA A certification or higher (Network , Security , or equivalent preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, and basic hardware repair.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and friendly attitude.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying engaged with the team.
- Reliable transportation for onsite visits (mileage reimbursement provided).
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an MSP environment.
- Knowledge of firewalls, remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools, and cloud services.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN troubleshooting.
