Regular Job Functions

· Greets patients and visitors

· Checks patients into eClinicalworks

· Scans all paperwork in eCw 

· Monitors reception area and patient flow, notifies patients of delays

· Answers questions and gives information as requested

· Calls the answering service for overnight consults

· Creates patient folders for new patients

· Obtains and/or verifies patient demographic and insurance information

· Collects co-payments, personal payments at time of service

· Places patient paperwork into clipboards

· Prepares patient sign-in clipboard

· Schedules, cancels and reschedules patient appointments

· Cross-train at check-out

Requirements

     

Experience: Minimum of six months in a physician   office setting performing check-in functions. 

 

Education:  High   School or equivalent
