Veterinary Technician Responsibilities include:
- Providing MEMORABLE client service and INDIVIDUALIZED patient care
- Competency in routine nursing care & treatments including IV fluid administration, vaccines & medication administration, and wound management
- Preparing prescription medications, taking radiographs, and completing medical records
- Processing in-hospital and reference laboratory diagnostic testing
- Setting patient catheters, preparing for surgical procedures, and monitoring general anesthesia
- All aspects of exam room communication and protocols such as obtaining history, TPR, client communication, and briefing veterinarians
- Performing toe nail trims, blood draws, ear cleanings, and gland expressions
- Assisting with the care of boarding & hospitalized animals and maintaining cleanliness of kennels
- Help the team maintain a clean medical facility
- AWESOME positive attitude and enjoys teamwork
- Required: 2 years of Vet Tech experience in a veterinary facility
- Required: Technician Certification (CVT)
- GREAT communication and computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and climb; as well as lift, carry, move up to 50 pounds
