We're seeking an HR Manager to lead and manage all aspects of human resources for our 50-person retirement plan TPA firm. As an HR department of one, you'll have the autonomy to shape and execute HR initiatives while providing hands-on support in recruitment, compliance, employee relations, performance management, and culture-building efforts. Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
Lead recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent.
Partner with leadership team to develop job descriptions and hiring strategies that align with strategic plan.
Performance Management & Employee Development
Oversee the firm's performance management process, providing guidance to managers on goal-setting, feedback, and performance evaluations.
Support leadership in implementing coaching and development plans to enhance employee performance and engagement.
Employee Relations & Compliance
Coach department leaders and employees on HR policies, conflict resolution, and workplace issues.
Conduct investigations into employee concerns, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and EEO.
Professional Development & Engagement Initiatives
Oversee firm-wide learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
Facilitate engagement and retention initiatives, including recognition programs and well-being initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
5 years of experience in human resources, with a strong background in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
Experience working in a professional services environment (e.g., accounting, law, consulting) is a plus.
Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
