Position Summary – Shipping and Receiving Associate
Pinnacle Precision Sheet Metal is looking for a warehouse receiver. The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager by maintaining inventory counts and quality control procedures for incoming and outgoing product shipments. The associate is responsible for unloading delivery trucks and checking incoming shipments against product invoices, organizing, and storing shipments until they receive outgoing order requests and notifying the Warehouse Manager when product is not sufficient to fulfill orders. Overall, the associate is responsible for inventory accuracy, ordering, receiving, and shipping transactions as well as daily warehouse duties.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Shipping/Warehouse Manager and Lead to direct the efficient movement of product in and out of warehouse safely and accurately using established processes and procedures.
- Monitors tracking of shipment schedules for both incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Properly checks the items in inventory for damages or discrepancies.
- Properly accounts for the location of incoming goods.
- Assures no damaged items are sent or received.
- Compares packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list.
- Scan certificates to ERP and share drive.
- Follows all warehouse safety procedures, including those related to material handling, food safety, and operating warehouse equipment.
- Ensures a FEFO (first expired, first out) system is used for inventory.
- Updates the product inventory as products are received and added to the inventory.
- Packaging products for return to vendors and filling out any paperwork necessary.
- Conducts the monthly inventory, counting and reconciliation.
- Complies with regulatory agency warehouse standards.
- Ensure all required documentation necessary for compliance to occupational safety, AS9100 standards and regulatory requirements is complete, accurate and current.
- Keeps warehouse clean and sanitized and conducts cleaning activities according to schedule.
- Other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two years of warehouse and forklift experience.
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead others and take direction with minimal supervision.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good math skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to work steadily and independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to operate forklift, pallet jack, and other standard warehouse equipment.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds in a labor-intensive environment.
- Working knowledge of basic principles of inventory management and ability to use scan guns and inventory software.
- Ability to engage and direct volunteers
Work Environment
- This job operates on the floor of a manufacturing facility.
Physical Demands
- Stand continuously and lift objects up to 50lbs.
