Job Details
Job Title: Application Security Specialist Location: Dallas or Ft. Worth, TX (2x onsite, 3x WFH Locals Only)
Duration: 6 Months (Must be able to convert without sponsorship)
Mandatory Skills:
- Development experience (e.g., software engineering, application development) with a desire to transition into application security.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex security concepts to developers in an actionable way.
- Ability to advocate for security needs while understanding development team pressures and objectives.
- Knowledge of cloud-based application security, ideally in Azure.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and ability to guide developers in following these practices.
- Experience in collaborating with developers in an effective manner.
- Strong desire to learn and grow in application security and software development security.
Nice to Have:
- Previous application security experience (security assessments, vulnerability management).
- Familiarity with security-related tools (static/dynamic analysis, penetration testing).
- Experience with cloud platforms outside of Azure is beneficial.
