Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and personable Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at a leading distributor of quartz, marble, and granite materials. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for customers and visitors, handling phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries. They will support daily operations by ensuring smooth customer interactions, order processing, scheduling deliveries, and assisting with various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Inquiries:
- Greet customers and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls and emails, providing information on products, services, and availability of quartz, marble, and granite materials.
- Address and resolve customer concerns or direct them to appropriate departments.
- Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and availability.
- Order Processing & Administration:
- Assist customers with placing orders, providing product details, and ensuring accurate order entries.
- Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely processing and shipment of materials.
- Prepare quotes and invoices for customers, ensuring accuracy in product types, quantities, and pricing.
- Scheduling & Coordination:
- Schedule appointments for product showings, customer consultations, and deliveries.
- Track inventory levels and communicate with the warehouse team to ensure availability of materials.
- Handle logistics related to material pickup or delivery, ensuring timely coordination.
- Office Support:
- Maintain and update customer and order records in the company’s database.
- Manage office supplies and inventory.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, and photocopying.
- Sales & Marketing Support:
- Assist with promotional activities and events, providing support during trade shows, product demonstrations, or customer meetings.
- Promote special offers and product information to customers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
- Previous experience in a customer service or front desk role, preferably in a wholesale, distribution, or construction-related industry.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and friendly demeanor with a customer-centric approach.
- Knowledge of quartz, marble, and granite products is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of boxes or materials up to 20 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
