We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join a commercial technology company with a strong track record of serving commercial, municipal, and educational clients across the Southern Tier. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual eager to grow a career in technology sales, working closely with Account Executives to identify new prospects, understand their needs, and offer tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture client relationships by identifying needs and presenting tailored product recommendations, product demos, and proposals to secure sales.
- Analyze client requirements, design system solutions, and ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure.
- Provide both pre- and post-sales technical guidance, training clients on system operation and maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop strategic acquisition plans and generate leads.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to improve sales strategies and support marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in technology sales or networking solutions, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
- Ability to thrive in a self-directed, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics in the commercial, municipal, and educational sectors.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Southern Tier to meet with clients.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
