Loan Processor

Summary:

This position is responsible for reviewing loan input and all loan extension file maintenance for consumer, commercial, and real estate loan products. It is also responsible for various secretarial and clerical work such as answering phones, greeting and assisting customers, making copies, sending faxes, etc. The position will also work as a team with other bank staff, predominately, loan personnel including Loan Processing and Loan Officers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties satisfactorily and be able to facilitate and coordinate loan signings and closings when necessary.

• Aids in maintaining loan files by preparing documentation, data entry, proper filing of documentation and files.
• Conducts quality checkbacks of loans, document deficiencies, and resolves exceptions with Loan Officers.
• Monitors cancelled insurance policies and initiates timely follow-up.
• Obtains information related to loan requests including: ordering title insurance, flood determinations, obtaining Environmental Data Resources (EDR) reports, and running credit reports.
• Coordinates with title companies regarding loan closings and disbursements.
• Handles loan advancements, loan disbursement preparations, loan checkbacks and aids in loan closings in the absence of a Loan Officer.
• Processes all branch established floor plans.
• Process all UCC and lien perfections.
• Handles all adverse actions and mail processing.
• Carries out responsibilities with professionalism and respect for others in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Intermediate level computer skills and Microsoft Office experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Adaptable

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience with consumer, commercial, and real estate loans preferred
