About the Opportunity

The Supplier Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of supplies, services and materials used in manufacturing or production processes, including equipment calibration services. Their primary role is to assess and maintain the quality standards of incoming services, materials, components, and products from suppliers.

What You'll Do:

  • Quality Assurance: Receiving Inspection point of contact. Ensuring supplier receives and meets applicable QMS and order specific flow down requirements, establishing and implementing quality control procedures, inspection protocols, and testing methods to verify the quality and conformity of incoming supplies and services. Includes documentation of Receiving Inspection activities in ProCIM (ERP).
  • Supplier Audits: Conducting audits of suppliers' facilities and quality control processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality requirements.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Assessing and assisting with supplier selection based on their quality management systems, manufacturing processes, and product quality capabilities.
  • Quality Metrics: Developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track supplier performance, material non-conformance rates, services, and overall supply quality.
  • Issue Resolution: Collaborating with suppliers to address quality issues, non-conformances, and deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain by identifying areas for enhancement, optimizing processes, and implementing best practices.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of supplier performance, quality incidents, and inspection results, generating reports, and providing data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Calibration Services: Generating a list of all equipment due calibrations using Calibration 2000 software and ensure calibration is performed on all equipment per schedule and is properly labeled.
  • Schedule Coordination: Coordinating calibration schedules with vendors, confirm equipment location and escort calibration technician to perform service.
  • Record Maintenance: Managing the approved vendor list and ensures vendor certificates are current; update the calibration status database, maintain records, and generate a monthly calibration status report for management.
  • Works with Quality team to prepare for all customer and third-party audits including ISO, AS9100, NADCAP and DLA.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3 to 5 years of comparable industry experience (preferred)
  • Quality Assurance Practices: Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices, and methodologies, including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), statistical process control (SPC), and non-conformance management.
  • Problem-solving and Analytical Skills: Proficient in problem-solving techniques and analytical methods to identify root causes of quality issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions. This includes a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data sets.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders effectively. The ability to collaborate and work in a team-oriented environment is important for successful supplier quality management.
  • Working knowledge of PCB manufacturing, electronics assembly
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and practices

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma (GED) Required
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (QA, Engineering, Supply Chain Management) Preferred

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime as needed
  • Weekends as needed

Work Setting:

  • On-site only

The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
