We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Supervisor to join our team at Pioneer Connect. In this key role, you’ll support the Accounting Manager in overseeing daily accounting operations and helping lead the Accounting Department. This is a hands-on position with the opportunity to guide and mentor staff, support financial processes, and play an integral part in maintaining compliance and improving workflows.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Overseeing and assisting with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, capital credits, CABS, and benefit administration
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing
- Helping prepare internal and regulatory reports
- Assisting with budget tracking and financial data analysis
- Maintaining compliance with FCC, IRS, and PUC regulations
- Recommending improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
- Contributing to supervision of accounting staff, including performance feedback and scheduling
What we’re looking for:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field—or equivalent experience
- At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience
- Prior supervisory experience
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and interruptions with professionalism
- Moderate proficiency in Excel and confidence using accounting software
- A commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and collaborative teamwork
Bonus points for:
- Experience in telecommunications accounting
- Advanced Excel skills—such as taking a prior report and efficiently replicating its structure and data flow
