As a progressive financial institution, we are seeking a dynamic individual to fulfill the role of Title Specialist for our Mountain Home Administrative Office.
The Title Specialist will provide support to Member Service Representatives within the Credit Union as well as members. This position asks that you are answering questions about titles, documentation, laws and regulations of all States as well as provided support in the form of title and lien perfection. Additionally, the Title Specialist will follow established policies, procedures, regulations, and is responsible for providing high quality and professional service to members, team members and Pioneer branches.
Responsibilities Include:
- Accountable for the timely processing of title and reports, as well as the instruments used to secure said loans, applying technical job knowledge and skills to complete all work in a timely manner in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements while managing varying degrees of work.
- Releases liens on all paid loans. Reviews paid loans thoroughly to ensure the accuracy of each lien release.
- Balances the title, sales tax, and UCC general ledgers each month. Verifies all information with host system information to ensure accuracy. Monitors UCC-1 filings and files UCC-3 forms with the State when applicable.
- Prepares or requests documents and transmits them to appropriate persons for completing to meet title requirements.
Qualifications
Experience: Prior experience is not require, the position will be properly trained. Knowledge of title procedures and requirements, familiarity with Credit Union products and processes preferred.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
Physical Requirements: Very light physical effort. Typical of most office jobs. Work in comfortable positions.
Work Environment: Normal light, heat, air, and space in work environment.
