POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Pioneering Evolution is seeking a Project Lead to provide full-time support for the management and execution of complex engineering projects. In this role, you will initiate and establish processes for managing product requirements throughout their life cycle—from strategic definition to end-of-life planning. You will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs, ensuring product construction and testing are completed as efficiently and effectively as possible.
As a Project Lead, you will be responsible for directing specialized engineers, leading project teams, and coordinating with various stakeholders to meet project objectives. A strong background in project management, engineering principles, and leadership is essential. You will be expected to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while fostering a creative and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving. This position typically reports to the head of a unit or department.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (CS) or Software Engineering plus four (4) years of project management or military leadership experience; OR
- Bachelor's Degree in any field plus seven (7) years of project management or military leadership experience; OR
- Nine (9) years of combined education and project management or military leadership experience.
Additionally, candidates should possess:
- Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in the Quantico, VA area.
- Proven ability to lead and direct the work of engineering teams.
- Strong background in managing product development, from initial requirements to end-of-life planning.
- Experience overseeing construction, testing, and implementation of complex engineering projects.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate across departments.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude in problem-solving and decision-making.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Marine Corps, Navy, or general DoD aviation experience.
- PMP or Project Management Certification
