About the Role:
As an Echocardiogram Tech, your main responsibility will be to perform echocardiogram procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. You will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and high-quality imaging of the heart and surrounding structures. Your expertise in operating echocardiogram equipment and analyzing the obtained images will play a crucial role in helping physicians make informed decisions regarding patient care. By performing echocardiograms, you will contribute to the overall patient experience and help improve their quality of life.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology.
- Certification as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
- Experience performing echocardiogram procedures in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately analyze echocardiogram images.
Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiogram procedures using ultrasound equipment to capture images of the heart and related structures.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain echocardiogram equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and calibration.
- Analyze and interpret echocardiogram images, identifying any abnormalities or potential issues.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely reports of findings, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
