Natural Gas Construction Technician
Hiring for Knox County TN Area Division
Pipeline Infrastructure and Energy Services Firm has been a leader in the contract utility industry in Tennessee and Southwest Virginia since 1953. Pipeline specializes in natural gas and water distribution construction, horizontal directional drilling, hydrovac excavation and engineering services.

Minimum Employment Requirements:
- Must pass background check, pre-employment, and random drug/alcohol testing
- Experience working in utility construction industry
Required Qualifications:
- Class A CDL driver's license
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in natural gas industry installing polyethylene (PE) natural gas distribution piping
- Machine operating experience
Essential Functions:
- Good verbal communication skills and be able to take instructions and follow directions.
- Demonstrate positive attitude and teamwork with other employees and crews.
- Use sound judgement in all work-related situations and promote a personal responsibility and safety
- Demonstrate the required knowledge, skill, and physical ability to perform construction and maintenance work in the gas distribution, underground utilities, and gas service lines areas, as well as working with daily contact with the public.
Work Hours and Schedule: Full-time – Monday through Friday
Typical Hours: 45 hours per week (Overtime 1.5 x hourly rate for weekly hours over 40)
Pay Range: $27.00 per hour/paid weekly.
