Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance and Repairs: Ensure the proper functioning of pumps, compressors, pipeline systems, and other specialized machinery.
- Inspections and Diagnostics:
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential mechanical or electrical issues before they lead to equipment downtime.
- Use diagnostic tools and techniques to assess equipment performance and recommend necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Preventive Maintenance: Maintain records of service schedules, repairs, and equipment performance data.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and industry best practices during all maintenance activities to create a secure working environment.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with construction teams to address equipment needs and provide on-site support during pipeline installation and construction activities.
- Assist with the installation and setup of equipment and systems required for construction operations.
- Inventory and Procurement: Coordinate with procurement teams to order replacement parts and equipment as needed.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to emergency repair needs, minimizing project delays caused by equipment breakdowns.
- Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record & TWIC card.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or vocational training in mechanics, electronics, or related fields preferred. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in the pipeline construction or similar heavy equipment industries.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic and repair tools, including manual and power tools. Familiarity with reading blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of OSHA regulations, pipeline safety standards, and workplace safety practices.
- Communication and Teamwork: Strong verbal and written communication skills to document activities and collaborate with team members. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
