Job Summary :
Serves as a hospital liaison with community physicians, patients, other health care facilities and community organizations. The Liaison identifies strategic targets and facilitates engagement to improve patient access to the hospital. All activities are conducted in compliance with state and federal regulations. The Liaison is the first point of contact and primary liaison for information between the hospital and community members and is accountable for meeting the business goals of improving loyalty, enhancing customer satisfaction, and increasing patient and medical staff satisfaction, in line with the organization's business strategy. Promotes services consultatively, determines customer's needs and requirements and makes recommendations to providers and customers of the various solutions the organization can offer. Assures brand management is appropriately executed. This role does require you to operate a vehicle as part of your work duties.
Actively and consistently contributes to department operations and communications, behaves in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pipeline Health, upholding standards of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank you) patient communication.
Essential Functions :
- Promotes hospital services with a focus on increasing awareness of community physicians and office staff.
- Engages with patients at OB clinics to provide information about hospital services.
- Organizes and participates in community events, health fairs and other outreach activities to raise awareness of our services.
- Distributes educational materials for patients and healthcare providers.
- Serves as an information resource for patients.
- Uses clear, concise, professional communication with coworkers, patients, all customers internal and external.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Works closely with the maternity services team to ensure alignment of outreach efforts with overall departmental goals.
- Collaborates with other departments to support hospital-wide initiatives and events.
- Participates in team meetings and contribute to the development of new programs and services.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of Pipeline services, our competition in the industry and positioning.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Follows the latest industry developments and stays up to date on competitors.
- Shares information gathered in the field with appropriate leaders in a timely manner.
- Maintains activity log, documenting outreach efforts, community contacts and results.
- Uses AIDET in interactions with patients and family members.
- Acts with a sense of urgency when performing tasks.
- Basic unit / department maintenance such as keeping files, drawers, cabinets free from unnecessary clutter.
- Reports on any equipment and or environmental issues for repair.
- Abides by HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations.
- Speaks up to stop the line and escalates potential safety events if necessary.
- Completes and attends monthly training assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
