Lead Lab Technician - 2nd Shift

Piper Companies is actively seeking a Lead Lab Technician to join a rapidly growing and well-funded startup located in Durham, NC bringing new solutions for cellular heterogeneity in research and clinical space studies. The Lead Lab Technician will help with performing high-throughput laboratory experiments to produce high quality data for their clients. As well as serve as a mentor for lab technician peers. This position will be on-site and a 2nd shift postion as well. Responsibilities of the Lead Lab Technician:

• Perform and increase production workflows
• Interact with external manufacturing service providers
• Utilize existing products and solutions to create sequencing libraries.
• Ensure assay performance is efficient by reviewing procedures and SOPs.
• Perform in high-throughput laboratory experiments with 384 well scale.
• Expertise In performing pipetting techniques
  
  

Qualifications of the Lead Lab Technician:

• 1-2 years of relevant assay experience
• 1 year of lead experience
• Hands of experience in conducting nucleic acid quantification assays, including fluorescence and electrophoretic assays
• Experience in high-throughput laboratory experiments (384 well scale)
• Experience in operating Next generation sequencing systems (Illumina)
• Experience with flow cytometry
• Experience with Bravo
• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field
  
  

Compensation of the Lead Lab Technician:

• Salary: $35/hr, depending on years of experience
