Operations Manager, Technical Services

Piper Companies is seeking an Operations Manager, Technical Services in Lynwood, CA to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in growth mode and support oversight of day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee day to day operations in the areas of filling and secondary packaging.
• Manage daily / monthly production goal setting and operational attainment.
• Strategically identify CAPEX for machinery to match production plan.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, plans, and procedures to enhance productivity and quality.
• Generate / Manage SOPs to govern Pharmaceutical Operation.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve operational performance.
• Utilize operational excellence tools such as 6-sigma, 5-S, etc. to develop industry class operation. Prepare and maintain production reports and other communication for senior management.
• Monitor and review the performance of staff and issue corrective action as needed.
• Create and manage production budgets.
• Able to initiate deviations and investigations for manufacturing processes when required.
