QC Technician II (Micro)

Piper Health & Sciences is seeking a QC Technician II to support the quality control microbiology department of a growing biotechnology company in the Columbia, MD area. This role is first shift, Monday – Friday working schedule.

Responsibilities for the QC Technician II include:

• Perform routine and in-process environmental monitoring (EM) sampling in a cleanroom environment.
• Conduct and monitor environmental parameters including viable sampling, personnel sampling, temperatures, humidity, etc.
• Perform bioburden, TOC, conductivity, and endotoxin analysis of water and manufacturing samples.
• Properly label and document cleanroom plates, EM data, and logbooks according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/cGMP) and guidelines, including proper gowning/PPE and following aseptic protocols.
  
  

Qualifications for the QC Technician II include:

• 2 years of relevant EM sampling, bioburden, endotoxin, conductivity, and/or TOC analysis within a GxP regulated environment.
• Prior experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED is required. Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  
  

Compensation for the QC Technician II includes:

• Salary range: approximately $22.00 - $30.00 hourly, commensurate with experience
