The Role: Project Development Manager
As a key member of the team, you’ll manage solar projects from inception to completion. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of renewable energy by driving successful project execution and fostering stakeholder relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Project Leadership: Oversee all aspects of solar project development, including technical, regulatory, and financial components.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for landowners, customers, and engineering teams.
- Technical Expertise: Coordinate external studies, interconnection applications, and permitting processes.
- Strategic Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and progress reports.
- Contract Negotiation: Support and lead negotiations for key project agreements.
- Innovation in Action: Contribute to proposals, financial modeling, and on-site assessments as needed.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced, results-oriented professional with a strong background in renewable energy project development (BTM).
Qualifications:
Essential:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 4 years of experience in renewable energy project development.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Excel).
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to travel up to 10% of the time.
Preferred:
- 6 years of experience in renewable energy, particularly behind-the-meter and wholesale markets.
- Proven leadership skills, including mentoring junior staff.
- Experience negotiating complex project contracts and agreements.
- Residing in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco.
