Role and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily complex operations, including sow farm, nursery, finishing units, feed mill, truck wash, transport and maintenance operations to ensure facility standards within company protocols
- Execute communication with company leaders to ensure business is operating at maximum levels
- Develop and implement business performance and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with animal welfare standards, biosecurity protocols, environmental management and regulations.
- Manage facility maintenance, equipment upgrades, and technology integration.
- Develop and manage budgets, cost control measures, and financial planning.
- Analyze production data to optimize feed conversion, growth rates, and profitability.
- Responsible for oversight of all grounds and facilitating emergency response structures
- Bachelor’s degree in animal science, Agriculture, Business Management, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in swine industry management or a related agricultural leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of swine industry, genetics, nutrition, reproduction, and herd health management.
- Business acumen with experience in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control.
- Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in farm management software and data-driven decision-making.
- Mix of office work and on-farm oversight.
- Requires flexibility to travel between farms, feed mills, and transport locations.
- Exposure to livestock and agricultural environments.
- Standing, walking, and ability to be on feet 8-10 hours per day
