Job Overview:

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our pediatric practice. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our patients and their families, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for everyone who visits our office.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and families in a warm, courteous, welcoming, and professional manner
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow
  • Verifies patient insurance information via electronic medical verification tool
  • Collects co-pays via online payer portals
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update demographics as needed
  • Process referrals and authorizations
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing, filing, and scanning
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Communicates with patients and families regarding financial responsibilities and collects payments such as personal balances and co pay amounts
  • Conducts appointment reminder and needed visit calls
  • Participates in company sponsored safety programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist in a pediatric setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
