Job Title: Loan Specialist I
Contract Type: W2
Location: St. Petersburg, FL (Must be local to the Tampa Bay Area)
Work Schedule: Hybrid - On site (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Specialist for a Hybrid W2 Contract position. Experience with Encompass software is an advantage. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience processing loans and expertise in Mortgage Cadence POS system. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Obtain necessary third-party loan documentation and process less complex loan applications.
- Order third-party services.
- Verify loan files and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Follow up on missing documentation and ensure timely completion by deadline.
- Prepare and compile documents for review and approval.
- Review disclosures for accuracy.
- Perform basic loan calculations.
- Demonstrate quality levels that meet internal compliance audits.
- Interact with mortgage consultants and third-party vendors.
Required Skills:
- Mortgage loan experience.
- Experience managing a pipeline of between 40-50 loans at a time.
- Understanding of TRID Regulatory Guidelines.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Technical and organizational skills required.
- Proficiency in Excel and SharePoint.
- Clear and professional written and oral communication skills for internal and external partners.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Loan processing and/or closing experience is preferred.
