What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Assistant position at Pitkin County?
Provides high level administrative support; serves as office liaison and performs outreach to other departments and the community; manages calendars, schedules meetings, and organizes special events.
Responsible for the management, coordination and scheduling of all citizen boards; responsible for annual distribution of funds to active caucuses.
Coordinates with staff to review the agenda management system for commissioners; reviews workflows; provides guidance as needed for Commissioner meeting agendas.
Receives, screens, and responds to communication for commissioners and administrative staff including walk-ins, mail, phone calls and emails using independent judgment to prioritize and route appropriately.
Responds to questions regarding interpretation of office and County policies and procedures; responds to public and media inquiries and complaints.
Develops and implements office systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and communication within the County Manager’s office.
Supports the relationship between Pitkin County government and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with citizens, visitors, and County staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and County information; performs other duties as required or assigned.
3 years experience at a senior-level in department or function in administrative support and customer service.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
