Demolition Estimator/Project Manager

Job Overview:
Unique opportunity for the right person to work at a family-owned, Grand Rapids-based demolition company that's been in business for 66 years. We are searching to add an estimator/project manager to our demolition team. This role will be responsible for dispatching crews and resources, managing job schedules, job quality, and job costs, in addition to preparing project estimates.

Duties will include:

• Assist with day to day operations and scheduling
• Manage field activities
• Attend progress meetings
• Meet with potential clients
• Review project blueprints, specifications and work scope responsibilities
• Prepare project estimates and support documents
• Prepare project-specific Health and Safety Plans and Work Plans
• Support crews for compliance with OSHA and other specific safety requirements
• Inspect projects for completeness and quality
• Provide accounting department with accurate and timely billing information for each project

Qualifications:

To succeed in this position, you should meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree from a 4-year college or university
• Project management skills
• Knowledge of contracts and construction management documents
• Strong communication skills
• Problem solving capabilities and ability to handle changes
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Time management and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Positive attitude with a desire to continue to learn and grow with the company

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
