Position Title: Cost Clerk 1
Pay Grade: 61Reports To: Business Manager
Supervises: No One
Required Skills & Abilities: Computer skills with a focus in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets; Organizational Skills; Ability to multitask; Preferred experience with BSIP
Education & Training: Preferred associate degree or higher in business administration/computer science/ or other similar major; Preferred 5 years experience in School Bus Transportation
Term of Employment: 12 months
Responsibilities:
Data Entry for the following:
All TD’18’s – regular maintenance work preventative maintenance work, and dummy vehicle numbers for shop clean, administrative leave for mechanics only
Process Nonmechanical Hour forms
Fluid Matrix and invoices
Fuel Sheets – from both fuel truck drivers and from the outside pumps
Fuel invoices and EKOS
30 Day Inspections
Enter new bus and service paperwork
Filing and maintaining the following files:
All TD’18’s – regular maintenance work preventative maintenance work, and dummy vehicle numbers for shop clean, administrative leave for mechanics only

Fuel Sheets – from both fuel truck drivers and from the outside pumps
Pre-Trip Inspection Forms
Produce Business System Information Portal (BSIP) reports:
Monitor Open Work Order
Report and close out overdue work orders.
Non Mechanical Time Report
Other reports as needed
Process oil samples and research results.
Report odometer issues to Business Manager for corrective action with mechanics and NCDPI
Greet and assist visitors to the Transportation Department.
Answer a multi line phone, deliver messages, place calls.
Answer radio/cell phone communication systems and take appropriate action.
Operate office machinery.
Assist with Parts and Inventory as need/directed
Assist with physical fueling
Performs any other related as assigned by the Transportation Director.
