JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Shipping Lead to oversee and manage our pick and pack operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, packed, and dispatched on time. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, an eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and lead the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment according to customer SLAs.
- Coordinate daily shipping activities, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring workflow.
- Ensure all shipping documentation is complete and accurate, including bills of lading, invoices, and labels.
- Monitor inventory levels within pick areas and coordinate with the replenishment team for restocking needs.
- Inspect and maintain shipping equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Train, mentor, and support team members in best practices and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments (including Customer Success) to resolve any shipping-related issues.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or higher in logistics, business, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse shipping/receiving role, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory position.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software, preferably Deposco.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying warehouse conditions.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
