Pittsburg State University seeks a faculty member committed to high-quality teaching for a full-time, tenure-earning position in the Department of Psychology and Counseling (http://www.pittstate.edu/college/education/psychology/index.dot).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Duties include undergraduate teaching, graduate teaching in our on-campus BCBA-verified course sequence, advising, and supervision in collaboration with onsite BCBA supervisors. Specific courses will depend on areas of expertise and/or experience but may include behavior analysis courses, and/or other undergraduate courses as assigned (e.g., Research Methods I and II).
- Scholarly activity in the area of behavior analysis is desirable and service to the department, college, and university are required.
- The candidate filling the position will support both the M.S. Behavior Analysis and undergraduate B.A. and B.S. programs.
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience – Time of Hire:
- Earned Doctorate degree or ABD from a regionally accredited institution in Behavior Analysis or Psychology.
- Certification as a BCBA or BCBA-D
- Teaching experience in higher education.
- An active research agenda.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusivity.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Professional expertise in applied behavior analysis and experience supervising internship students.
- Clinical experience in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- University teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level.
- Research and thesis experience.
- Commitment to collaboration.
- Evidence of teaching excellence, both in-person and online.
